Felony Expungement in Ramsey County
Minnesota's Clean Slate Act under Statute 609A.015 took effect January 1, 2025. Some felony convictions are now automatically sealed by the BCA after a five-year waiting period from sentence completion. The BCA reviews eligible records and sends them to the courts. If no one objects within 60 days, the record is sealed from public view.
Violent crimes and offenses that require sex offender registration are not eligible for automatic expungement.
